The new Queensland Government’s vision for the Games is to deliver reliable, sustainable and inclusive transport before, during and long after the Games. Major upgrades to connect our growing regions are needed for the Games and for the decades to come.
Several major transport projects either in planning or delivery phases will be accelerated as part of the 2032 Delivery Plan, including The Wave all the way to the Sunshine Coast Airport, faster rail to the Gold Coast, new stations for Brisbane, expansion of the Brisbane Metro as well as critical road upgrades like the Bruce Highway.
