Consultation open on Victoria Park Precinct

Queenslanders are invited to help shape the future of the Victoria Park Precinct, with public consultation open now on the draft legacy plan.

The plan sets out a vision for a world-class destination for sport, recreation, entertainment and green and public space in the heart of Brisbane, that will serve communities for generations beyond the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The draft plan brings together key places like the Brisbane Stadium, National Aquatic Centre, Brisbane Showgrounds and enhanced parklands and public spaces into one connected precinct.

Around two-thirds of Victoria Park will remain green and public space, with proposed features including expanded wetlands and places for residents and visitors to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

The draft plan focuses on making it easier to get to and around the precinct, with improved links to surrounding neighbourhoods and public transport, as well as new walking and cycling connections.

Feedback will help shape the next stage of planning and ensure community priorities are understood and considered as the precinct evolves into an iconic Brisbane destination.

Queenslanders can review the draft plan and have their say online, with consultation open from 3 August until 5pm 27 September 2026.
